How to create a link to your Instagram account
Are you looking for a way to embed a link to your Instagram account on your website? I was personally having difficulties working out how to create the link with a graphical instagram icon; called badges nowadays.
You might want to link so you can increase awareness, gaining followers outside of Instagram or want to learn so you can apply to yours and possibly other websites then this guide is for you.
Instagram make it easy to share your link on your website. A purpose built tool is made available from Instagram which will generate the appropriate link with image for you to place on your site, blog, email etc.
Which would you prefer? your potential follower or visitor type in your Instagram id to find you, or to click a simple informational graphic to send them directly to your instagram account? I know which one I prefer.
For this to work, you will need a valid Instagram account.
4 simple steps to create an Instagram icon link on your blog, email and websites:
- Visit the official Instagram badge creation tool.
- Select the badge you would like to create. There are 4 icons available at present.
- Copy the code as provided
- Paste to your blog, website, email footer and so on.
